Wade Baldwin IV set to miss decisive Game 5 against Panathinaikos

As he hardly returned to his defensive halfcourt after injuring himself once again on offense with 5:36 minutes left in the second quarter during Game 3, Wade Baldwin IV was forced to leave the court.

After leaving his team without an offensive asset, Maccabi’s backcourt’s minutes increased and they eventually got tired along the way, allowing Panathinaikos to turn things around later on.

Now, as the series comes back to OAKA on Tuesday, the American guard is expected to miss the decisive action after already sitting in Game 2 and Game 3. According to Walla Sports’s correspondent to Belgrade Or Shkedy, Wade Baldwin IV won’t likely play in Game 5.

Coming back to Israel to check how serious the hamstring injury actually is this time, the former Olympiacos, Bayern Munich, and Baskonia guard won’t probably come back in time to Athens.

So far in the 2023-24 EuroLeague season, Wade Baldwin IV has been huge for Oded Kattash’s team, leading it with a team-high 17.4 points per game, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. After scoring 26 points to get past Baskonia in the Play-In, he injured himself in Game 1 against Pana.
