The winner of the Alfonso Ford award as the best scorer in the 2023/24 EuroLeague season is not changing teams anytime soon.
As Baskonia officially announced, Markus Howard signed a contract extension with the Spanish club until 2028.
“Markus Howard will continue to defend the Baskonia emblem in the coming years, bringing enjoyment and delight to all the fans with his spectacular basketball and performance,” per Baskonia’s official statement.
The spectacular player from New Jersey, who extended his contract last October, will, therefore, continue to wear Baskonia’s kit for the next four seasons.
“I want to be part of what Baskonia is building and the projects they have. I have a lot of faith in what we are doing, I want to be part of it and go far,” Howard said after penning the new deal.
Howard ended the 23-24 season as the top scorer in both the EuroLeague (19.4 PPG, 39.8% 3PT) and the Liga Endesa (19.4 PPG, 41% 3PT) and the best three-point shooter in both competitions.
