Panathinaikos won the 2023/24 EuroLeague championship after defeating the defending champions, Real Madrid, at the Final Four in Berlin.

The team returned to the Greek capital, Athens, this afternoon, and a river of fans awaited them to continue celebrating the “seventh star” for the club.

“The king is back” was written on the team’s open bus, which awaited the Greens at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport to start the parade to OAKA Arena, where many more fans were waiting to welcome the champions.

People of all ages donned their green jerseys, took their scarves in hand, and flocked to express their joy.

Those who had been waiting for years for this moment followed the bus on foot, singing tirelessly in honor of Ergin Ataman and his players.

“You believed in us. We believed in you. Enjoy the seventh star. You wanted the seventh star. Here is the seventh star!” the Turkish head coach addressed the crowd.

“We are the champions of Europe,” Final Four MVP Kostas Sloukas added to celebrations in the capital of Greece.
