As officially announced, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv has signed coach Oded Kattas for another two years.
Kattash led Maccabi to consecutive EuroLeague Playoff appearances and won the Israeli championship last season.
“I am happy and proud to sign for two more years with Maccabi. Thank you for the expression of trust. I am ready for the challenges that await us further down the road. We are all focused on the task ahead of us: the state championship,” Oded Ketch told the club’s official website.
Oded Kattash ranks fifth among all-time coaches in the number of victories in Israel’s top league, with 295 victories in the regular season. In the playoffs, he is ranked third, with 50 victories.
“It seems only natural and fitting to me that Oded will continue in his role as coach of the Maccabi Tel Aviv team for the next two years. The current basketball season has proven and strengthened his abilities. Oded knew how to navigate and strengthen the relationship with the team’s players despite the difficult conditions we faced over the last eight months, and he achieved significant success during this period. I wish Oded continued success in his path with our team,” explained the chairman of the club, attorney Shimon Mizrahi.
