Fenerbahce managed to bounce back well from the 4th place at the EuroLeague Final Four in Berlin – losing both to Panathinaikos and Olympiacos – by beating Besiktas 96-88 in Game 1 of the Turkish Basketball Super League Semi-Finals.
However, they have lost Marko Guduric to injury. “Our player Marko Guduric suffered an injury in the groin area against Besiktas Emlakjet. Following the check-ups of our athlete at Acıbadem Ataşehir Hospital, a first-stage muscle injury was detected and his treatment was started”, the yellow-and-blue club’s statement said.
His return to the court is unknown, but Sarunas Jasikevicius hopes to have him back either before the end of this series or in the potential Finals, against either Anadolu Efes or Pinar Karsiyaka. The Serbian guard has been averaging 9.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in this year’s EuroLeague.
