As Marca reports, Andres Feliz is very close to becoming a Real Madrid player.
The Dominican from Joventut spoke about that possibility while preparing with his national team for the Pre-Olympic tournament in Piraeus.
“Right now, I can’t tell you or give details about that because there is nothing official yet. I am simply following the steps that my representative is telling me,” Feliz said.
There’s no doubt in his mind about the chance to join the Spanish giants.
“Of course, I would like to. It is one of the best teams in the world and it would be a very important step in my career,” added the Dominican guard, who averaged 15 points, 4.3 rebounds in the ACB League, and 14.7 points and 5.1 assists in the EuroCup this season.
Besides Feliz, as Encestando first reported, another new guard will join Real Madrid for the next season. The second addition is 30-year-old Canadian Xavier Rathan-Mayes, who dominated the VTB League donning the kit of BC Enisey and per Eurohoops sources he has already signed a one-year deal.
He averaged around 25 points on 35% shooting from beyond the arc in the regional competition.
