Currently projected to move from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague to the BKT EuroCup, Valencia continues roster adjustments. After officially parting ways with Damien Inglis and Kassius Robertson, the Taronges confirmed the departure of Jared Harper on Thursday.

Harper, 26, joined Valencia in 2022 and signed a one-year contract extension last summer. Heading to the 2024-25 season, he becomes a free agent.

Per the press release: “North American point guard Jared Harper leaves Valencia Basket once the contract he had with our men’s team has ended after two seasons wearing our Taronja jersey.

The Club wants to thank Harper for the professionalism, dedication and work done during the time he has defended the Valencia Basket jersey, and wishes them the best in their future, both professionally and personally.”

Over two years in the EuroLeague, he averaged 9.6 points and 2.8 assists per contest. Limited to 22 appearances in the 2023-24 season due to injuries, his stint produced a total of 53 games played in Europe’s premier club continental competition.

At the domestic level, Harper finished with 8.4 points, 1.6 assists, and 0.7 rebounds per game, including 7.1 points and 1.4 assists per contest in the 2023-24 installment of Spain’s Liga Endesa.

After coming out of Auburn in 2019, he split the next three years between the NBA and G League, before landing in Valencia. He logged 16 appearances in the NBA between spells with the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, and New Orleans Pelicans.
