Former NBA big man Serge Ibaka denied that there’s any agreement between him and Real Madrid or any other team. Ibaka, who just finished the season as German League champion with Bayern Munich, enters the offseason as a free agent.

“No, come on! For me, it was disappointing that these rumors came out while I still was playing in the playoffs. I didn’t like that. It seems to be the way how things work here in Europe,” Ibaka said per Robert Heusel.

Ibaka mentioned that he has other offers on the table and he has yet to decide on where he will play next season.  “I have offers from other teams, but I have not decided yet,” the veteran player also said. “I always want to finish things first before thinking about the next ones.”

In 2023-24, his first season in Europe after a short stint with Real during the 2011 NBA lockout, Ibaka averaged team-highs 12.6 points and 6.8 rebounds in the EuroLeague with Bayern.
