As officially announced, Real Madrid and Carlos Alocen have mutually agreed to part ways.
“Real Madrid wants to show him all its gratitude and affection for his exemplary behavior and dedication during the time he has worn our shirt and wishes him the best of luck in his new stage,” stated the Spanish champions in their press release.
Alocen joined Real Madrid in 2020, and during his four seasons with the team, he has contributed to winning eight titles: 1 EuroLeague, 2 Spanish Leagues, 1 Copa del Rey, and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
In February 2022, a serious knee injury caused him to miss the next 21 months of competition.
He returned this season, but his prominence has diminished, and he will seek a new adventure away from Real Madrid.
