Donta Hall to stay in Monaco despite huge interest from Barcelona

As one of the most active teams on the EuroLeague market, AS Monaco already made two huge moves ahead of the 2024-25 season. They first extended for three more years the EuroLeague MVP Mike James and then announced the arrival of Nick Calathes to the Principality.

Now, despite receiving some huge interest from Barcelona, who set eyes on the 26-year-old center, Sasa Obradovic’s team has managed to keep Donta Hall within the roster, according to Eurohoops sources.

After going close to the title in his second overseas season with Monaco, reaching the 3rd place in the 2023 EuroLeague Final Four in Kaunas, he had 4.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in his third EuroLeague year, losing in Game 5 of the Playoffs to Fenerbahce.

Before moving to Europe in 2021, he played between the NBA (with Detroit, Brooklyn, Toronto, and Orlando) and the G-League (with the Grand Rapids Drive, G-League Ignite, and the Raptors 905).

Donta Hall played his first International game after receiving the Azeri passport in an 87-77 win against Kosovo in the 2027 FIBA World Cup Pre-Qualifiers, dropping 20 points and 14 rebounds. Another naturalized player for Azerbaijan, Zach LeDay, is set to leave Partizan for Milan.
