Will Clyburn officially became a free agent.
With multiple teams already monitoring his situation, heading to the 2024-25 edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Anadolu Efes bid farewell to the 34-year-old small forward on Thursday.
After the end of his successful spell with CSKA in Europe’s premier club continental competition, he joined the Istanbul outfit in 2022.

His arrival was met with lots of hype. Emerging as a star in the EuroLeague with CSKA, he moved to the back-to-back champions of Europe’s premier club continental competition. Despite averaging 15.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game, his efforts fell short of another title.
Playing for CSKA between 2017 and 2022, Clyburn was crowned EuroLeague champion and named as Final Four MVP in 2019. In addition, he got a nod for the All-EuroLeague First Team in 2019 and settled in the Second Team in 2021.
Since introducing himself to the EuroLeague behind a breakout campaign as a member of Darussafaka Dogus in 2016-17, he logged a total of 219 games played over the next eight years. Destined to add to his tally in the league, he is widely expected to come back for a ninth campaign.
Coming out of Iowa State and going undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft, the Detroit native used his overseas option, launching his professional career with ratiopharm Ulm. After two years in Germany, he moved to Isreal and Hapoel Holon for the 2015-16 season.
