In control of his future, Jordan Loyd is considering moving his talents to Virtus Segafredo Bologna.

With an opt-out option on his contract with AS Monaco, he has attracted multiple potential suitors, early in the offseason. The Bologna outfit has a strong interest in securing his services and launched negotiations with the 30-year-old American shooting guard, according to Eurohoops sources.

In the 2023-24 edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Loyd was limited to 20 appearances by injuries. Averaging 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 0.8 steals per contest helped La Roca Team reach the Playoffs. Falling short to Fenerbahce Beko in a crazy best-of-five series ended the continental campaign.

Contributing 11.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.7 steals per game over 22 appearances for the team coached by Sasa Obradovic in the latest installment of Betclic Elite, he was crowned champion in France for a second year in a row. On the first-ever domestic league championship for Monaco, he was named Finals MVP.

The native of Chicago is also a former NBA champion. He got the championship nod by making his way to 12 games of the 2018-19 season with the lone Canadian franchise in the league.

From there to focusing on his overseas options, the former player of Indianapolis and Furman in the NCAA made three EuroLeague stops, Valencia, Crvena Zvezda, and Zenit, before landing in the Principality of Monaco. A total of 124 games played over five years in Europe’s premier club continental competition.
