Jaron Blossomgame inked a two-year contract extension with AS Monaco, the team announced on Friday.
“I am very excited to come back to Monaco, obviously. Honestly, it was an easy choice for me,” he commented on the deal with La Roca Team, “I think the main thing for me is to continue to build on what I have done and what we have done as a team over the last two years here.”
The former Clemson standout arrived at the Principality of Monaco in 2022. Besides introducing himself to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and logging 77 appearances, he was among the key players for head coach Sasa Obradovic in capturing back-to-back domestic league championships in France’s Betclic Elite. In 2023, his efforts were also combined with winning the Coupe de France.
“We have built excellent relationships with my teammates, on and off the court. I am very comfortable with a lot of guys and I can not wait to welcome the newcomers. I am very happy to be able to come back and play with a player like Nick,” Blossomgame referred to the addition of Nick Calathes earlier in the offseason.
“I got to see up close what he could do in the Playoffs,” he talked about the experienced point guard helping Fenerbahce Beko edge out Monaco in a crazy best-of-five series for a spot in the 2024 EuroLeague Final Four.
Besides adding James, Monaco also extended the contract of Mike James, preparing the 2024-25 roster.
