Three more players are officially out of Baskonia. On expiring contracts, Maik Kotsar, Chris Chiozza, and Jordan Theodore were released on Tuesday.

Kotsar, 27, spent the last two years at the team based in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The Estonian center jumped into the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, logging 73 appearances over the last two seasons. In the most recent edition of Europe’s premier club continental competition, he tallied 5.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.7 steals per contest in 39 games played, including 29 starts.

Chiozza, 28, made his way to 47 games after joining the Basque club in November. Debuting in the EuroLeague, the former Florida standout produced 1.9 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.0 rebounds per contest over 26 appearances.

Theodore, 34, signed with Baskonia in January. Resurfacing in the EuroLeague after 23 appearances in the 2017-18 season with AX Armani Exchange Milan, he averaged 3.5 points per game over 12 appearances.

Parting ways with Baskonia on Thursday, Dani Diez also left on an expiring contract. Earlier in the offseason, head coach Dusko Ivanovic wrapped up his fourth spell with the club.

Last season, the Vitoria-Gasteiz outfit ranked eighth in the Regular Season of the EuroLeague, behind an 18-16 record. Clinching a berth in the Playoffs via the Play-In Showdown, a three-game sweep at the hands of Real Madrid ended the continental campaign.

At 18-16 in the Regular Season of Spain’s Liga Endesa, Baskonia landed ninth in the standings and missed the Playoffs of the domestic league.
