Partizan Belgrade forward Bruno Caboclo wants to leave the team according to his agent Daniel Hazan. One of the reasons that the player wants out of the Serbian powerhouse is delayed payments, Hazan mentioned.

“Two salaries are late,” Hazan said to Meridian. “In the contract, there is a period of 30 days for which the club can be late with payments, but that we must also send an email within seven days (of exceeding the delay) with a payment request. That’s what we did. But no one answered our email, nor was the money paid. And – we have sent a request to terminate the contract.”

Hazan’s statements come as a bit of a surprise considering that Partizan president Ostoja Mijailovic had announced that Caboclo will stay with the club next season. The Brazilian big man was subject to disciplinary proceedings after leaving Belgrade to travel to Orlando, USA without permission by the club just before the start of the ABA League Finals.

Back then, Partizan emphasized that “there are no financial obligations” to Caboclo.

“You know that Bruno left Partizan to join the Brazilian national team. He had to do all the tests before the start of the preparations, we had a clause in the contract according to which the club is obliged to allow him to do that,” said Hazan.

“We have already made our decision. Bruno will not play in Partizan,” Hazan also mentioned.

Caboclo averaged 9.4 points and 4.0 rebounds over 19:23 minutes in the 2023-24 EuroLeague during his debut season in the competition. He’s currently with the Brazilian national team ahead of the Olympic Games Qualifiers.
