Crvena Zvezda made a few big additions this summer, with the latest signing being Mike Daum.
However, the club could part ways with one of last season’s standout players, Yago dos Santos.
According to Meridian Sport, the Brazilian point guard has an offer to leave the club from another team, reportedly a Russian team as first reported by Telegraf.
Meridian Sport also adds that Yago’s contract with Crvena Zvezda includes a buyout clause of 200,000 US dollars, and the former Ratiopharm Ulm player reportedly has an offer that could triple his earnings.
As further explained, Crvena Zvezda wants to give him a raise but doesn’t want to break the bank to keep him. Therefore, the decision seems to be on Yago dos Santos.
In his first EuroLeague season with the Belgrade club, the Brazilian averaged 8.7 points and 3.9 assists, while he averaged 10.6 points and 4.4 assists in the ABA League, where he claimed the Finals MVP award.
