After securing the contract extensions of both EuroLeague MVP Mike James and versatile forward Jaron Blossomgame, AS Monaco filled the gap in the four-position by signing a big man able to stretch the floor and shoot from beyond the arc.
Coming off a season shooting 48.7% from the three-point line in the 2023-24 Basketball Champions League with Pinar Karsiyaka, Vitto Brown moved to the Principality, signing a two-year deal with them.
He spoke as the newest red-and-white player on the team’s website. “I chose Monaco because, of all the teams I was talking to and considering joining, it seemed to offer me the best opportunity. They needed me in this position, but they also offered me the possibility of winning”, Vitto Brown shared.
In the last two seasons, he played in the Basketball Champions League alongside overseas basketball veteran Errick McCollum, promising 13.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in the last continental campaign with the red-and-green Turkish team.
This will be the first EuroLeague season for the Wisconsin Badgers product, who moved to Europe for the first time in the 2020-21 season, joining Le Mans in the LNB. He then played one single season with Betis Sevilla before moving to Turkey.
