Running it back with AS Monaco, Mam Jaiteh penned a one-year contract extension.
La Roca Team re-upped the 29-year-old center on Friday.
“I am very happy to continue the adventure with Monaco,” he commented staying for a second year, “I am comfortable here, which will definitely be very useful heading to the next season. I am determined to help the team achieve its goals. We want to have even better results than last season.”
Since joining La Roca Team for the 2023-24 season, Jaiteh dealing with various injuries limited his participation across all competitions. He averaged 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds per game over 25 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, including seven starts for head coach Sasa Obradovic. Behind a 23-11 W-L tally, his side ranked third in the Regular Season and secured homecourt advantage in the Playoffs but fell to Fenerbahce Beko in five games, missing the opportunity to return to the Final Four.
Besides upping his total of appearances in Europe’s premier club competition to 68, combined with spells at Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Nanterre 92, the international center with France bounced back in domestic competitions in his home country after five years with 6.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest over 34 features for Monaco. His efforts contributed to capturing the Betclic Elite championship.
In earlier offseason moves for Monaco, Nick Calathes and Vitto Brown were announced as new additions. Also, Mike James and Jaron Blossomgame signed contract extensions.
