Sasha Vezenkov said his goodbyes to the Sacramento Kings after getting traded to the Toronto Raptors.
There were rumors about him possibly returning to Europe, even to Olympiacos, but the GM of the Piraeus team dispelled them.
“Sasha Vezenkov is a player of the Toronto Raptors,” stated Nikos Lepeniotis, the General Manager of Olympiacos BC while attending the Stoiximan Aegeanball tournament which is organised by club legend Giorgos Printezis.
Before fulfilling his NBA dream last summer, the Bulgarian forward spent five years with Olympiacos, winning the 2023 EuroLeague MVP award, as well as two Greek championships and two Cups.
“Sasha was a very important member of the Olympiacos family; he has helped it a lot and remains a member of it. At this moment, I imagine I am being asked about his contract. Vezenkov is a player for the Toronto Raptors, so we can’t say that there is any change compared to the current situation,” noted the GM of the Piraeus team while talking to COSMOTE TV.
