After Deividas Sirvydis, Matt Mitchell, and Alen Smailagic, Zalgiris Kaunas has announced another addition to the team.

As officially confirmed, Sylvain Francisco joins the ranks of the Lithuanian team on a 1+1 deal.

The 26-year-old Frenchman wore a Bayern Munich jersey last season and made his debut in the top continental competition, averaging 10.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 19 minutes on the court.

I feel great, and I am happy to be here. I really wanted to play for Andrea Trinchieri. I knew Zalgiris was a good club. In fact, for me, it is one of the best clubs in Europe. I felt that I had to be somewhere where I could get more responsibility and play in a great atmosphere,” said Francisco upon joining Zalgiris.

Before moving to the EuroLeague, he also played for Peristeri (Greece), Manresa (Spain), Chorale Roanne, Paris Basketball, and Paris Metropolitans 92 (France). Francisco has also worn the jersey of the French national men’s basketball team.
