Olympiacos Piraeus is making moves, with one deal sealed and another nearing agreement for backcourt signings.
As reported by Gazzetta, the deal with Keenan Evans should be considered closed, and the announcement is expected in the next 48 hours. Additionally, Luca Vildoza is close to joining the Piraeus team, as first reported by SDNA and confirmed by Eurohoops sources.
With Evans, Olympiacos reached an agreement on a three-year deal, with the progressive salary. This flexibility is due to the US guard’s ruptured patellar ligament in his left leg, which will keep him out of action for 6-8 months.
Still, Olympiacos decided to add him after he had another brilliant season with Zalgiris in the EuroLeague, averaging 17.3 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.8 rebounds on 43.5% shooting from beyond the arc.
As for Vildoza, it’s expected that the Argentinian player will soon part ways with Panathinaikos and then join the long list of players who have played for both Greek powerhouses.
The former Baskonia and Crvena Zvezda guard didn’t live up to expectations in the green jersey, averaging 5.7 points and 1.5 assists in 28 EuroLeague appearances, but his reputation from his days in Vitoria and Belgrade is still highly valued in the top continental competition. The Argentinian is on his way to have a chance to prove his worth at the highest level again.
Olympiacos therefore continues reinforcing its backcourt, with Tyler Dorsey already having returned to the club.
