Adam Hanga and Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet parted ways upon mutual agreement, the team announced on Tuesday.

Hanga, 35, was under contract through the 2024-25 season but instead became a free agent.

Moving his talents to Zvezda before the 2023-24 season, the Hungarian forward averaged 7.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists over 46 appearances across the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and AdmiralBet ABA League. The former EuroLeague champion missed the bottom end of the campaign due to injury but was crowned champion in the regional league and the AdmiralBet Basketball League of Serbia, after the midseason triumph in the Radivoj Korac Cup.

In his tenth expedition in Europe’s premier club competition and first with the team based in the capital of Serbia, the experienced forward put up 8.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.3 blocks per contest over 26 games played, including ten starts. His side settled at 11-23 at the end of the Regular Season, six games shy of a berth in the Play-In Showdown.

After their respective contracts expired, the Belgrade outfit also confirmed the departures of 34-year-old Trey Thompkins and 25-year-old Javonte Smart on Tuesday. Mike Tobey and Freddie Gillespie were released earlier in the offseason.

A busy summer already features the additions of Isaiah Canaan, Mike Daum, Nikola Kalinic, and Uros Plavsic for Zvezda. Also, Joel Bolomboy, Yago Dos Santos, Rokas Giedraitis, Branko Lazic, and Milos Teodosic signed contract extensions, committing to run it back with head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos.
