EA7 Emporio Armani Milan welcomed Ousmane Diop on Wednesday.
Diop, 24, signed a two-year contract with Le Scarpette Rosse on his way to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Per the press release: “Olimpia Milano has reached an agreement up to the 2025/26 season with Ousmane Diop, a 2.04 mt. tall center born in Senegal in Rufisque on 19 February 2000, coming from Dinamo Sassari.

HIS CAREER – After coming to Italy to play in Udine, Diop spent a year on loan at Virtus Feletto and made his debut in the second Italian league for the 2016/17 season. In 2018 he signed with Dinamo Sassari where he remained until the 2023/24 season. Over the course of these six years, however, he played on loan in Cagliari and Turin in the second league again. In 2018/19 he won the Fiba Europe Cup with Sassari (3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds on average). In 2021/22 he averaged 6.0 points and grabbed 3.6 rebounds per game in the Italian league; in 2022/23 he had 9.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game (12.6 points and 6.3 rebounds during the playoffs); in 2023/24 he had 11.5 points (on 60.5 percent shooting from two) and 5.2 rebounds per game (he finished fifth overall in offensive rebounds per game). In the 2023/24 Fiba BCL he averaged 11.3 points per game with 3.8 rebounds.
NOTES – Ousmane Diop is Senegalese by citizenship but Italian in basketball terms. In 2023 he received his first call-up to the Senegalese national team.”
