Another potential signing emerged for AS Monaco in the form of Shaquielle McKissic.
La Roca Team intends to offer him a two-year contract, after talking with Olympiacos due to the player having a contract with the Reds for the next season, as reported by Greek outlet Gazzetta and confirmed by multiple sources.
McKissic, 33, has spent his entire Turkish Airlines EuroLeague career with Olympiacos, averaging 8.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game over 146 appearances in the last five years. Last season, he put up 7.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists, per contest, coming off the bench in all 32 appearances for the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas. His efforts resulted in returning to the Final Four and ranking third in Berlin.
In Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League, the former Arizona State standout put in 6.4 points per contest over 16 games played in the Regular Season and the Playoffs. His side settled second in the final standings after falling short to archrival Panathinaikos Aktor in a best-of-five championship series. Earlier in the 2023-24 campaign, he added a third Cup and a second Super Cup to his list of domestic titles with Olympiacos.
Monaco is hoping to secure his athleticism and explosiveness, after picking up Nick Calathes and Vitto Brown, and is also looking to bring in Giorgos Papagiannis. Beyond newcomers for the team coached by Sasa Obradovic, Jaron Blossomgame, Mam Jaiteh, and Mike James penned contract extensions with the back-to-back Betclic Elite champions.
