German center Daniel Theis is back on the top of the list of Panathinaikos for an addition to the center position per Eurohoops sources.

The Greek club approached Dario Saric but he signed with Denver and now the EuroLeague champions are examining their options with no pressure.

Saric is currently in Greece with the Croatian national team for the Olympic qualifiers, however, this ended up being just a footnote in the interest of the Greens.

On the other hand, Theis was one of the first names that were on Panathinaikos’ short list, he is a free agent and the question is if he will decide to leave the NBA. Initially, as Panathinaikos first approached the player, his side preferred an NBA deal, but at this point, everything seems to be open.

Theis is currently preparing for the Olympics with the German national team.

After winning three German championship titles with Brose Baskets, Theis where he played since 2017 for Boston, Chicago, Houston, Indiana, and most recently for the Los Angeles Clippers.

He is the reigning FIBA World Champion after winning the FIBA World Cup with Germany last September.
