After securing five major signings for the upcoming season, Crvena Zvezda has made another move for the future.

As officially announced by the Belgrade club, talented Andrej Kostic has signed his first four-year professional contract.

The 18-year-old was frequently part of the first team setup last season, making his debut for Crvena Zvezda in the Serbian Cup and earning minutes in the domestic championship, as well as being part of the team during the triumphant ABA League Playoffs.

According to the ABA champions, he will be a regular member of the first team coached by Ioannis Sfairopoulos starting from next season.

Playing for the youth team, Kostic dominated his peers at the ANGT Qualifiers in Belgrade, averaging 24.2 points and 7.8 rebounds in four appearances. Also, last summer he was a part of the Serbian national team that won the U18 European championship.

Most recently, he was among the top basketball prospects from around the world at the 2024 Eurocamp in Treviso, where he had the opportunity to work with NBA players and coaches. He was named to the tournament’s Best 5 at the conclusion.

Before signing a multi-year deal with Kostic, Crvena Zvezda added Uros Plavsic, Isaiah Canaan, Cody Miller-McIntyre, Mike Daum  and brought back Nikola Kalinic to its ranks.
