Fenerbahce can’t stop bringing in huge assets to fight for next year’s EuroLeague title following the 4th place in Berlin Final Four. After Devon Hall, Nicolò Melli, and Bonzie Colson, the Turkish side officially announced the addition of Wade Baldwin IV
In the 2023-24 EuroLeague season, the 28-year-old guard was one of the most interesting players to watch, averaging 17.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. He shot with valuable percentages from the field (48.3% from two and 39.1% from three) and at the line (84.8%).
With the yellow-and-blue Israeli powerhouse, Wade Baldwin IV went close to back-to-back Final Four participations by being named twice into the All-EuroLeague Second Team in 2023 and 2024. He also won two consecutive Israeli championships.
Wade Baldwin IV’s career before Fenerbahce
In Fenerbahce, he joined the recently renewed highest scorer in a single EuroLeague game Nigel Hayes-Davis, and his former teammate Bonzie Colson, who also left Maccabi for Fenerbahce.
Playing his first-ever EuroLeague campaign in Olympiacos, he was then one of the most shining players under head coach Andrea Trinchieri in Bayern Munich’s Playoffs run in the 2020-21 season.
The American guard followed with a move to Saski Baskonia before spending two years alongside Lorenzo Brown in Maccabi Tel Aviv’s exciting backcourt.
Before moving overseas, Wade Baldwin IV played in three straight NBA seasons with Memphis (2016-17) and Portland (2017-19), averaging 3.1 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game collectively.
