Only a few minutes after announcing the club was parting ways with Isaac Bonga, Bayern Munich announced the two-year contract extension with Nick Weiler-Babb, who’s entering his 5th season with the red-and-white Bavarian team.
The 28-year-old defensive specialist, who has been playing with Bayern Munich since 2020, recently averaged 6.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game with Chus Mateo in the 2023-24 EuroLeague season coming off the bench. He also won the German double.
Before coming over to the EuroLeague with Bayern Munich, he had a standout season in 2019-20 with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg after finishing his college career with Iowa.
Since FIBA EuroBasket 2022, he has been playing with the status of German player. He recently joined Gordon Herbert’s team at the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket European Qualifiers. He was also named into Germany’s 16-man preliminary roster for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
