Andrea Trinchieri’s Zalgiris Kaunas for the next EuroLeague season is taking more and more shape.
The latest addition in town is Tyrone Wallace, who’s coming off a huge season in the BKT EuroCup with Turk Telekom Ankara, averaging 17.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
The 30-year-old guard, who has previous NBA experience with the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks, and New Orleans Pelicans, played in Paris during the 2022-2023 season. He has signed a one-year deal.
“I’m really excited for the upcoming season. I can’t wait to get down to Zalgirio Arena and feel all the energy the fans bring. I am really looking forward to having a good year. I want to get to know all the coaches and teammates as soon as possible”, Zalgiris‘ newest guard commented on the club’s official website.
Gediminas Navickas also shared his satisfaction upon Tyrone Wallace’s arrival. “We are happy that Tyrone is joining Zalgiris. He is an ambitious and motivated player who fits our vision for the upcoming season. Wallace was one of the best players in the EuroCup last season and he is eager to prove that he can compete at the highest level”, Zalgiris GM said.
