Jerian Grant and Panathinaikos will continue together for at least two more years, as the American guard reached an agreement to continue until 2026 with Ergin Ataman’s team.
Contributing to the 7th EuroLeague title for the Greek powerhouse, he averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 assists per game. He was also crucial in intangibles that you can’t find on the score sheet, providing effort plays and a huge defensive presence all throughout the season both domestically and outside of Greece.
Jerian Grant is happy to continue playing EuroLeague basketball in Athens. “This extension means a lot to me. I’ve moved around a lot throughout my career and I honestly feel like I’ve found my home here with these fans, these coaches, and these teammates by my side”, the American playmaker commented.
The 2022-23 BKT EuroCup with Turk Telekom Ankara is set to play alongside Kostas Sloukas, Kendrick Nunn, and the newest addition to the Greens’ backcourt Lorenzo Brown.
Before moving to Turkey to climb the ladders of the overseas landscape, the now 31-year-old guard had his first experiences in Europe with Promitheas and Milan.
Previously, Jerian Grant played more than 250 games in the NBA with Washington, New York, and Orlando. He was selected with the 19th overall pick by the Wizards in the 2015 NBA Draft.
