Contented between the two teams of Tel Aviv, Roman Sorkin finally decided to continue with Oded Kattash’s team, extending his stay until 2029.

The 27-year-old center, crucial to winning last year’s Israeli championship, also helped the team finish only one game away from the Euroleague Final Four.

In the 2023-24 EuroLeague campaign, he averaged 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.

He has also been playing with the Israeli national team for some years, representing his country at FIBA EuroBasket 2022 and at the FIBA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament 2023 in Poland-Estonia.

Born in Belarus in 1996 to an Israeli family, he spent four years with the Oregon Ducks (2014-18). Later on, he debuted professionally with Maccabi Haifa before moving to Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2021.
