Rebuilding the roster ahead of the 2024-25 season, Virtus Segafredo Bologna added 26-year-old shooting guard Rayjon Tucker.

Following Nicola Akele, Will Clyburn, Mouhamet Diouf, Andrejs Grazulis, Matt Morgan, and Riccardo Visconti, Tucker emerged as the seventh addition to the roster during the offseason.

From debuting in the BKT EuroCup with Umana Reyer Venice, Tucker gets an upgrade to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He tallied 14.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest over 17 appearances, all starts, in the second tier of Euroleague Basketball, earning an opportunity in the top-flight league. At the domestic level, he entered the Dream Team of the Year after putting up 14.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists over 40 appearances in Italy’s LBA UnipolSai and Frecciarossa Final Eight.

Before using overseas options in 2022 and moving to Melbourne United in Oceania’s National Basketball League, NBL, the Charlotte native logged 50 games played in the NBA, spread between the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, and Denver Nuggets. Brief spells with limited playing time in the NBA, G League outfits Wisconsin Herd, Delaware Blue Coats, and Salt Lake City Stars shaped other stops and bigger roles between 2019 and 2022. He went undrafted in 2019, coming out of one NCAA season with Little Rock. From 2015 to 2017, he spent two years with Florida Gulf Coast.

At the international level with the United States, Tucker made his way to two games of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
