“Maccabi fans, I am so excited to announce I will be back with you guys for another season”, Jake Cohen told maccabi.co.il. “Just a couple weeks ago I was heartbroken thinking I wouldn’t be with you guys. But now I owe a lot of people so many thanks for making this happen. All the people in the professional staff, the owners, the coaches, my teammates, and all the fans that reached out to me in the past month – you have no idea how grateful I am. I appreciate so much the outpouring support, I was really touched by it and I can’t wait to show you how appreciative I am on the court at Menora Mivtachim. See you there soon, Yalla Maccabi!”.

Jake Cohen started 28 out of a possible 37 games in the Israeli league, including the playoffs, and in 31 out of 40 games in the EuroLeague. The Davidson alum contributed 5.3 PPG, 3.9 RPG and 2.3 APG in Israel, while shooting 37.7% from three-point range in the EuroLeague. But his contributions on the court are far deeper than what the numbers say, with his court vision, intelligence and experience giving Maccabi a boost on every occasion.

With 165 EuroLeague appearances to his name, Cohen ranks seventh among Maccabi Players all-time. He joined the yellows in 2013 and played for the club for most of his career, only leaving for short stints with Maccabi Rishon LeZion, Maccabi Ashdod and Spanish club Obradoiro.”
