Dzanan Musa opened up about his future, including considering a second spell in the NBA.
Musa, 25, also discussed his contract with Real Madrid, revealing ongoing negotiations, a few months after Los Blancos used an option for the 2024-25 season.
“Talks for a new contract are underway, but that does not mean I have other plans. Of course, there is a possibility of returning to the United States, but I do not want to talk about it,” he told Klix leaving the NBA door open, “I am very happy at Real, and I hope that with a good offer, I can stay at Real for many years.”
Playing for the Brooklyn Nets, the Bosnian forward recorded 54 NBA appearances in 2018-19 and 2019-20. Returning to Europe, he joined Anadolu Efes with a limited role in a 2020-21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship run. Moving to Rio Breogan for the 2021-22 season, he was named Liga Endesa MVP. From there to the capital of Spain, he went on to become a two-time EuroLeague champion in 2023.
In 2023-24, he averaged 13.5 points per EuroLeague contest. At the domestic level, he contributed to the team coached by Chus Mateo winning the ACB championship and the Copa del Rey. Capturing more titles is the goal for the next season.
“I think there is already enough pressure on me, but I will try because very important players left,” he said on helping the team handle the retirements of Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Rodriguez.
