Court proceedings emerge as the next step for James Nunnally and Partizan Mozzart Bet

The saga following Partizan Mozzart Bet parting ways with James Nunnally continues.

Nunnally, 34, has sued the team based in Belgrade for defamation demanding 600,000 dollars and for breach of contract citing pending wages of 110,000 dollars, according to SportKlub.

The latter contradicts Partizan stressing the lack of financial obligations towards the player, among recent exchanges between involved parties.

It has been far from smooth sailing in preparations for the next season, the 2024-25 installments of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and AdmiralBet ABA League, among more competitions on the schedule for the team coached by Zeljko Obradovic. Besides the developing situation concerning Nunnally, Partizan is also dealing with the case of Bruno Caboclo, the projected departure of the 28-year-old Brazilian big and attached requirements.

Nunnally spent the last two seasons with the Serbian club. However, the conclusion to the 2023-24 campaign combined with a violent incident opposite Stefan Lazarevic of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet. Involved parties have presented various views over the next few months, apparently contributing to claims of defamation of character.

Following a long summer, Partizan officially parted ways with Nunnally last week.

The former UC Santa Barbara standout and veteran of 37 NBA games logged 183 appearances in the EuroLeague since 2016, including 69 with Partizan over the last two seasons.

With his side finishing the Regular Season at 16-18 and landing one game away from a berth in the Play In Showdown last season, he tallied 12.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest.
