At the top of the training camp and preparations for the 2024-25 season, Olympiacos is concerned with the injury status of experienced French center Moustapha Fall.

Fall, 32, can have surgery and be sidelined for several months, depending on pending medical test results. Following the medicals, he worked out individually waiting for the diagnosis from the medical staff. The Reds are expected to further update the status of the player on Tuesday.

Last May, he suffered a stress fracture in the fourth metatarsal of his left foot. Fall was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, namely the Playoffs of Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League. The initial plan did not include operating on his left foot to deal with the injury.

Roster depth for the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas includes Serbian bigs Nikola Milutinov and Filip Petrusev for the center position.

Tipping off the 2024-25 Regular Season of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Olympiacos visits Fenerbahce Beko in the Ulker Sports Arena on October 4. Following a 34-game double-legged round-robin schedule, the top six teams will advance directly to the Playoffs, while teams ranking seventh through tenth will compete for two remaining berths in the Playoffs via the Play-In Showdown.

At the domestic level, the campaign starts with the Super Cup in Rhodes on September 28 and 29. In the Semifinals, Olympiacos meets Peristeri Domino’s and Panathinaikos Aktor takes on Aris Midea. From there to the Basket League Regular Season and the midseason Cup.
