The move was heavily rumored for weeks, and was now made official by Panathinaikos: Omer Yurtseven joins his national team’s head coach Ergin Ataman, and heads to the Greek powerhouse.
He will share minutes under the rim with Mathias Lessort, providing different abilities in such a position to the coaching staff, while Kostas Antetokounmpo will remain behind in hierarchies for the reigning EuroLeague champions.
Previously playing with the Miami Heat, he spent his last NBA season with the Utah Jazz, averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game alongside Lauri Markkanen.
It’s official! Yurtseven is now a Panathinaikos BC AKTOR player ✍🏼
Let’s welcome him to the Green Family 💚
