Evan Fournier’s future seems to be heading in two different and opposite directions. On one side, he wanted to prove his value once again in the NBA; on the other, he seriously thinking of come back to Europe and to the EuroLeague.
If that’s his decision, the 32-year-old French shooting guard already has a contender for his rights. It’s Olympiacos, who has been looking for somebody on the backcourt who could create off the dribble for many months. Adding him to the roster would help to solve the case.
According to Eurohoops sources, the Greek red-and-white side has expressed their intention of going after the two-time Olympic silver medalist. No official proposals have been submitted yet, but Georgios Bartzokas’ team could be next in line. Real Madrid and Milan are also awaiting progress.
Back in 2022, Evan Fournier tweeted the following: “If one day I had to return to Europe and I had the choice to go wherever I wanted, I think I would go for Olympiacos. It’s still a hell of a club”.
Currently a free agent, he spent the last season between the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons. In his 12-year NBA career, he had experiences in Denver, Orlando, and Boston before his two ultimate franchises.
