Olympiacos intends to extend the contract with Filip Petrusev and loan him to another team for the next season, per Eurohoops sources.
After securing the services of Evan Fournier, ensuing roster adjustments for the Reds are sending the Serbian big on a loan assignment.

In 2022-23, Petrusev helped Zvezda win the AdmiralBet Basketball League of Serbia and the Radivoj Korac Cup. Opening his EuroLeague account, he played for Anadolu Efes through the 2021-22 campaign and was crowned champion in the Final Four held in Belgrade. Switching from college basketball and Gonzaga to Mega Soccerbet launched his professional career in 2020.
Moving his talents to the NBA, he logged three appearances between the Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76ers early in the 2023-24 Regular Season, before joining Olympiacos in late November. Resurfacing in the EuroLeague, he tallied 6.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 0.3 steals per contest over 22 appearances and reached the Final Four with the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas.
Competing in the 2024 Olympic Games during the offseason, the Belgrade native averaged 9.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 0.8 assists per game, earning a bronze medal for his efforts alongside international teammates, under the guidance of Svetislav Pesic. Earlier international experience at the senior level includes the 2023 FIBA World Cup and the Belgrade Olympic Qualifying Tournament in 2021.
