Despite missing Kostas Sloukas, Kendrick Nunn, and Mathias Lessort, who are still either training individually or – in Nunn’s case – still absent from the training camp, EuroLeague champion Panathinaikos started the pre-season with a win.

The Greens beat Cedevita Olimpija (81-76) in the first game of the “EuroLeague Stars in Hala Tivoli” tournament.

Omer Yurtseven and Kostas Antetokounmpo also were not used in the game, since they recently joined the team, however Panathinaikos has a loaded roster and got a big three from newcomer Lorenzo Brown, which decided the game.

Brown had in total 18 points, four rebounds, and five assists. Dinos Mitoglou was the top scorer of the winning side with 19 points, while Juancho Hernangomez added 13 and the duo of Jerian Grant and Marius Grigonis scored 10 points each.
