The One Team program has been one of the most efficient initiatives by the EuroLeague in recent times, with teams and players both from the EuroLeague and the EuroCup being involved in sessions to help others and raise awareness.
Today, the winners of the 2023-24 One Team Awards have been announced. The Best One Team Ambassador Award goes to Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens’s Juancho Hernangomez, who “received wonderful feedback in his first season as a One Team Ambassador, attending every session and going beyond his duties”, according to EuroLeague’s press release.
“The Spaniard regularly took part in drills with the participants and was an advocate of the One Team program when talking with his teammates. Hernangomez went out of his way to promote One Team on social media, while he also bought gifts for everyone, including a signed framed photograph for the One Team program”, the announcement also followed.
Other winners were Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, ASVEL Villeurbanne, and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, who respectively won gold, silver, and bronze medals for the One Team Programs Awards. Moreover, Baskonia received the Judge’s Award for Club Commitment.
