After losing to CSKA Moscow in the opening match, Crvena Zvezda recorded their first win at the VTB Supercup, defeating Lokomotiv Kuban 86:76 in Moscow.
It was Ognjen Dobrić who was the top scorer for the winning side with 20 points, while Uroš Plavšić shined again with 16 points. Codi Miller-McIntyre stopped at 11, and Yago dos Santos added ten points.
For Lokomotiv, the best was B.J. Johnson with 19 points, while former Partizan player Patrick Miller added 17, and former Maccabi Tel Aviv player Antonious Cleveland contributed 11 points.
The Belgrade team is set to face Zenit in the third-place game (14/09).
Partizan convincing against AEK
The other Serbian EuroLeague team, Partizan, was also on the court today, at the start of the NIS Open Air tournament, and Željko Obradović’s side recorded a convincing 93-60 victory over AEK Athens.
Tyrique Jones and Sterling Brown were the top scorers with 12 points each for the winning side, while Ife Lundberg added 10.
For AEK, only C.J. Bryce finished in double digits with 11 points.
AEK will face Paris on Saturday (14/09), while Partizan will close the curtains on the tournament on Sunday, with a game against the French team (15/09).
