Omer Yurtseven recently returned to European basketball and joined defending EuroLeague champions, Panathinaikos Athens.
The Turkish center shined in his debut, leading Ergin Ataman’s side to an 86-69 preseason win over Bayern Munich in Cyprus.
The former Miami Heat and Utah Jazz player finished the match with 22 points and eight rebounds in 16 minutes, shooting 9/10 from the field.
Marius Grigonis followed with 12 points, while Kendrick Nunn scored 11, and Mathias Lessort and Dinos Mitoglou contributed 10 points each.
It’s also worth noting that Panathinaikos had great support in Cyprus, with over 6,000 fans in the gym, and that Cedi Osman also made his debut for the Greens, scoring three points.
On the other side, Shabazz Napier had 17 points for Gordon Herbert’s team, Carsen Edwards added 11, and Nick Weiler-Babb finished with 10 points.
