First, between the Dallas Mavericks and the Texas Legends. Then, making a comeback to the EuroLeague, joining former national team’s head coach Dimitris Itoudis in Fenerbahce. In a two-year span, Tyler Dorsey hasn’t played for Olympiacos, but now he’s back.

The 28-year-old shooting guard made his presence felt immediately, banking in a game-winning shot against Fenerbahce in a friendly game played during a preseason tournament in Crete. “It doesn’t matter who the opponent is. I love taking critical moments, the shots that will determine the outcome of the open”, he first commented in the game’s aftermath in the mixed zone.

“When I was playing in the U19 World Cup, I had my first memory of Greece here. I have very good memories here. I love Crete, its people, and the fans here. They make me happy every time I come here”, he also recalled the competition from 2015, when he averaged 15.9 points per game.

Most importantly, he came back to his time with the yellow-and-blue Turkish team. “I have no regrets. Sometimes water flows and finds its way”, he answered when asked about Fenerbahce. In the 2023-24 season, while also going through a coaching change, he put up 8.7 points per game in the EuroLeague.

Speaking more about Olympiacos, he’s excited about what’s coming. “I am very happy to be back, there is a reason why I came here. We will progress step by step and be ready at the beginning of the season. We need to catch up with our chemistry until the official matches start as a team”, Tyler Dorsey said.

Finally, commenting on the approaching Greek Supercup against eternal rivals of Panathinaikos, which won both the Greek League and EuroLeague in 2023-24, he emphasized the importance of these challenges. “It will be a good test for us before the EuroLeague season starts. I miss the PAO derbies. Those matches are very motivational”, the Greek national team’s member said.
