Monaco had already added Nick Calathes to its backcourt, alongside Mike James, Matthew Strazel, and Elie Okobo, but according to French media, they have decided to add another piece.

As reported by Gabriel Pantel-Jouve of BeBasket, Monaco is bringing back point guard Paris Lee from ASVEL by paying his buyout.

With this move, Monaco is taking one of the key players from one of their biggest contenders in the French championship, while bringing back a player who already wore the Roca Team jersey during their first EuroLeague season in 2021/22.

Lee averaged 11 points and 5.1 assists for Villeurbanne last season across all competitions and is now set to strengthen Monaco’s backcourt, leaving ASVEL head coach Pierric Poupet without one of his cornerstone players.
