Fenerbahce beat AEK in Athens by 10 points (85-75), but the news came with the addition of Boban Marjanovic to the roster of the team.
There’s no official announcement for the signing yet, however, Fenerbahce coach Sarunas Jasikevicius practically confirmed the addition.
As he said to the Greek national television when asked postgame: “We want Boban to be Boban, that’s all. We’re waiting for him”.
Arturs Zagars with 13 points, Colson, Melli, and Wilbekin with 12 led a balanced effort which didn’t satisfy Saras.
“We didn’t play well, we were tired from three games in four days, but that’s no excuse”, he added.
Grant Golden with 15 points was the top scorer of the home side, which will compete once more in the Basketball Champions League and prove to be quite competitive.
