Boban Marjanovic is officially a new Fenerbahce player, joining a renovated frontcourt package composed of Khem Birch and Nicolò Melli.

The Serbian 36-year-old center returns to Europe nine years after ending his EuroLeague experience with Crvena Zvezda. “We want Boban to be Boban, that’s all. We’re waiting for him”, Sarunas Jasikevicius said about his upcoming sign.

Up to this day, he’s still the only player who concluded a EuroLeague season with an average double-double in the past 19 years, as he put up 16.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in 2014-15.

In the NBA, he has been playing for the San Antonio Spurs, LA Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, and most recently, the Houston Rockets. In his whole nine-year NBA career, he has averaged 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
