The 2024/25 ACB season is underway, with Barcelona and Baskonia in action.
In the opening round, Barcelona defeated Granada 91-65 at home, led by newcomer Chimezie Metu with 17 points, followed by Joel Parra with 16. Dario Brizuela (illness) and Dame Sarr (adductor) were sidelined.
While Barcelona cruised, Baskonia had a tougher time on the road, losing 88-80 to Tenerife.
Chima Moneke led Baskonia with 20 points, and Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot added 18, while captain Tadas Sedekersis followed with 12.
For Tenerife, Bruno Fitipaldo was one assist shy of a double-double with 16 points.
