Monaco triumphed over Olimpia Milano in the season opener of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, but one of the club’s biggest summer additions, Furkan Korkmaz, suffered an injury.

As the French champions officially announced, Korkmaz suffered a slight tear in the right adductor and is expected to miss three to four weeks of action.

Korkmaz joined Monaco after seven years in the NBA and contributed 10 points, two steals, and a rebound in his first EuroLeague game with the Roca Team.

Monaco’s head coach, Saša Obradović, stated that the club might explore the market for a combo guard due to Korkmaz’s injury.
