Jordan Loyd released from Maccabi Tel Aviv

Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced that they are parting ways with Jordan Loyd who is in search of his next team.

Per Eurohoops sources it was a mutual decision that has to do with the current situation in Israel and not with any other issue.

That’s why the next destination of Loyd is nor decided yet. It’s already reported that his former team Monaco is interested om him, Fenerbahce is on the market for a guard, but per sources there’s also interest from China for him.

At this point, everything seems to be open for the player’s future.

However a key detail compared to last season is that the transfer rules between EuroLeague teams has changed. Until recently Loyd would have been forced to sit out until the start of the EuroLeague second round.

This rule was modified and Loyd can be eligible to play for a new EuroLeague team as soon as next round.

This removes a huge obstacle on his decision making process. The final decision of the player is expected in the next few days or even hours.
